On Tuesday, Dec. 12 the Covington City Council will a hold a public hearing for consideration to surplus the City’s Cedar Creek Park property. The public hearing will take place during the regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Covington City Hall.
The purpose of this public hearing is for the Covington City Council to receive comments from the public, both written and oral, regarding the proposal to surplus the property and to transfer it to King County. If transferred to the County, it would allow King County Water and Land Resources Division to become the owner and steward of the park property.
All persons desiring to comment may do so by testifying at the public hearing on Dec. 12 or by submitting comments in writing prior to the meeting to City of Covington, Attn: Ethan Newton, Parks and Recreation Director, 16720 SE 271st Street, Suite 100, Covington, WA, 98042. Any written comments submitted should include the commenter’s name and mailing address.
Agenda information will also be posted by the Friday prior to the meeting at Covington City Hall, and on the city’s web site at www.covingtonwa.gov.
