COVID19 Swim Lesson Information

  • Classes will run for 25-minutes to allow for 5-minute transitions
          Weekday evening group lessons run in a 8-class session, 2 days/week for 4 weeks
          Friday evening and Saturday morning group lessons run in a 8-class session, 1 day/week for 8 weeks.
  • Grade Day is the second to last day of the session.
  • Digital Achievement Cards will be e-mailed after the last day of class.
  • Instructors will be teaching from the pool deck. An accompanying adult from the same household as the participant may be required to provide physical support in water during the lesson for lower level classes.
    • Accompanying adult required in class:
      • Parent and Child 1 & 2
      • Preschool Aquatics 1, 2, & 3
      • Learn to Swim 1, 2
    • Accompanying adult option in class*:
      • Learn to Swim 3

*A participant does not require an accompanying adult if they are able to swim unassisted/unsupported in the water safely.

  • Each student will be assigned a designated lane to allow for social distancing.
  • Participants are required to review American Red Cross Learn to Swim videos prior to attending the first day of class. Please refer to each level below.
  • An appointment is required to enter the building. Spectators are not allowed. To request an accommodation, please e-mail at least 72 hours prior to the first day of lessons.
  • Facemasks will be required for all participants at all times in the facility except while in the shower or in the pool, unless otherwise allowed by law.
  • Locker rooms will be one-way travel.
    • Participants may not enter the facility more than 10-minutes prior to their scheduled water time.
    • Participants may not enter the locker room until cleared to do so.
    • Participants should arrive in swimming suits.
    • Participants may remove their outer clothing in the locker rooms and shower, but all belongings should go onto the pool deck.
    • Showers are required prior to entering the pool, but no showers will be available after exiting the pool.
  • A Safety Briefing prior to your first day of class will be required and a waiver must be signed by the participant or a parent/guardian (for minors).
