Creative Covington Art Show

The Covington Arts Commission is excited to announce its new Creative Covington Virtual Art Show!
1 Anyone from preschool-aged to adult can enter this virtual art show in the appropriate age division for the following categories: dance choreography, music composition, photography, 2-D visual arts, and 3-D visual arts.

ENTRY FORM

CATEGORY DETAILS:
Dance Choreography: Solo and ensemble works of all dance styles are accepted. Entrant must be the choreographer and may also be the performer, or one of the performers. If background music is used, cite on entry form. Video file must not exceed 5 minutes.

Music Composition: All music styles and combinations of instrumentation are accepted. Entrant must be the composer and may also be the performer, or one of the performers. Use of copyrighted material is prohibited. Audio file must not exceed 5 minutes.

Photography: Photo must be a single picture. Collages and collections of photos are not accepted. Entrant must be the photographer and may use a variety of digital editing techniques including but not limited to, multiple exposure, negative sandwich and photogram. Use of copyrighted material is prohibited. Photo dimensions must be no smaller than 3x5 inches and no larger than 8X10 inches. Framed prints are not accepted.

2D Visual Arts: Accepted forms of 2D visual art include: 2D original print, drawing, painting, collage (cut and pasted materials such as clippings and photos), metal etching or punch work, fiber work or computer-generated artwork. Dimensions must not exceed 24x30 inches. Entries must be a photo or scanned copy of your work.

3D Visual Arts: Accepted forms of 3D visual art include: Pottery, statuary, jewelry, glass, wood working, welding, metal and fiber arts including quilting, sewing, knitting, crochet, macramé, embroidery or any art that uses a form of fiber. Dimensions should not exceed 100 x 100 inches. Entries must be a photo of your work. Entries must be a photo of yourwork.

To submit your artwork, please email ppatterson@covingtonwa.gov your completed Art Entry Form along with your photo, document, or link to your video, and a photo of you with your artwork if applicable. If you are submitting a video, include a link to an unlisted YouTube video in your submission email. Images should be approximately 1000 x 1000 and 300 dpi. Please label your images with your name (last, first).

All participants must reside within the Covington city limits or within a three-mile radius of City limits. All virtual art show submissions are due by July 1, 2021.
