NOTICE OF CORRECTION - City Council Accepting Letters of Interest for Open Council Position


The date for possible interviews listed in the Notice of Open Covington City Council Position #2  in the May 22, 2019 issue of the Covington Maple Valley Reporter should be Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

Letters of interest for residents who would like to be considered for the open city council position must be received by the City of Covington before 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2019. Candidates must include their full name as listed on their voter registration and their physical address in the letter.

City Council will review letters on Tuesday, April 9 and will choose either to make a direct appointment at the April 9 Regular City Council Meeting or schedule in-person interviews with candidates on April 16. The term will end when a new council member is elected in the November 2019 General Election and those results are certified by King County.
