This co-ed class introduces coordination, physical development and socialization to young gymnasts. It also includes parent participation! Gymnasts must be able to walk.
In this co-ed class, gymnasts will be introduced to the basic concepts of gymnastics, balance and strength in a fun-filled environment.
Mighty Stars (girls only) will be challenged with more advanced gymnastics concepts in a fun and positive environment.
In this introductory, girls only, school-aged program, gymnasts will learn the basics on all four apparatus’.
This ongoing non-contact class teaches kids the basic fundamentals of martial arts including physical fitness, balance, coordination, memorization, goal setting and respect. A $40 uniform fee is due to instructor on first day.
BEGINNER MARTIAL ARTS
The beginner martial arts classes teaches the basic fundamentals of karate. A $40 uniform fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class.
Boys and girls, come for a day of fun while earning your Super Sitters Certificate. This class will cover leadership, the business of babysitting, basic care for children, understanding children of different age groups, safety and first aid. Bring a sack lunch and snack to class. Participants are required to wear masks and will be socially distanced.
SAFE AT HOME
This two-hour course is designed for children ages 8-12 to learn about potential dangers when home alone. Learn how to be responsible and safe in any situation. We will cover family communication, first aid, internet, gun, phone, fire and door safety. Participants are required to wear masks and will be socially distanced.
HISTORY OF ROCK 'N' ROLL - YOUTH & ADULT
Led by Dace's Rock 'n' More Music Academy Founder Dace Anderson, this virtual series will trace the roots of Rock ‘n’ Roll from Robert Johnson to The Carter family to find out where it came from then follow it through it’s heyday from Bill Haley to Pearl Jam to discuss what it’s become and where it’s going. We’ll discuss musical forms and terms, see the instruments, listen to the music, and talk about personal experiences creating a unique take on a very popular subject. This is the history of Rock 'n' Roll so some of the content may be considered inappropriate for younger people. YOUNG CHEFS ACADEMY INTRO CLASS
New to Young Chefs Academy? This fun, hands-on class is perfect for anyone age 7 and older who has never attended a Young Chefs Academy class and would like to get a taste of what YCA is all about!
This special class will immerse young chefs in a world of culinary creativity and discovery as they learn to make chocolate molten lava cake and garnishes. In addition to developing cooking skills, our intro class incorporates key elements necessary for a budding young chef! The cost of the class is $45. WINTER WONDERLAND ENGINEERING WITH LEGO MATERIALS
Get ready for the deep freeze this winter, applying concepts in engineering and architecture to brave the challenges of winter weather. Build engineer-designed projects such as snowplows and bobsleds, take a ride on the Polar Express, and much more. With the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor and access to tens of thousands of LEGO® pieces, you'll have everything you need to take your LEGO® building to the next level.
PRESIDENT'S WEEK CIRCUS CAMP
Looking for someplace for your kids to jump, roll and hang upside down all while safe and having fun? Look no further! Synapse Circus Center has circus camp during President's Week. This camp is an incredible opportunity to learn the basics of all sorts of amazing circus skills. Trapeze, tumbling, juggling, low tightwire, ball walking and so much more! No previous experience needed. Students will get to show off their new skills in a virtual "End of Camp Show" to family and friends on the last day of camp. Masks required. Students are encouraged to wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows for full range of motion but are not too baggy.
CHILDREN'S THERAPY CENTER'S ADVENTURE PALS (FORMERLY PLAYTIME PALS)
Experience Adventure Pals with your child as we hear a story, do a craft, sing songs and finish with a snack of your choice. Each month will reflect a new theme for our adventures together. Classes remain online via Zoom. Please plan on stopping by the Maple Valley Center each month to do a drive by packet pick up of class supplies. We ask that you have basic art supplies available at your home, such as crayons or markers, a glue stick , tape or stapler. Class will last between 45-60 minutes, depending on the size of the class. Zoom ID’s will be texted out after registration is complete.
